Arguably one of the most recognisable aspects of the game and a cornerstone of the sport, flag runners are fundamental to what makes quadball what it is. Exhilarating and heartbreaking all at once, a good flag runner greatly raises the stakes of a competitive match, and being an important part of a vital qualification or championship match between two clubs can be exhilarating and rewarding in its own right.
Good flag runners must be fast, smart, and strong; able to maintain full awareness on a chaotic quadball pitch, fending off seekers of differing technique and size, all while staying agile enough to escape capture. Like our players, flag runners come from any gender, ability, or background; and no two are ever the same.
UK flag runners are paid nominal amounts that scale with your experience and ability, and non-playing flag runners at official QuadballUK events have their travel and accommodation supplemented in addition to their payment.
