After almost two years heading up our Events department, Fran Morris has stepped down from her role as director.
Fran started with us in Events for the 2019/20 season, organising Northern, EQT, and Development Cup all of which happened before the disruption of the pandemic took hold. It has been an usual time to be in charge of events, but Fran played a massive part in keeping the community together through the 2020/21 season with virtual events such as the British Quizzitch Cup and QUK Taskmaster. Toward the end of her tenure she's done an incredible job laying the groundwork for the first community fixtures as well as the 2021/22 season beyond.
Over her time on the Executive Management Team, Fran helped drive QuidditchUK in a positive direction and made countless contributions to policy behind the scenes. We are incredibly thankful for her work and wish her all the best for the future.
Events Director Role
For those interested, the Events Director role is now live on our Volunteers page. We are looking for an organised volunteer to take up the position and lead the QuidditchUK Events Department. This person will also take part in the Executive Management Team, helping to guide the future of our sport.
