London Calling
After the IQA's announcement that no official events would take place in 2024, QuadballUK and volunteers jumped into action and put together an updated bid to host European Games in 2024. Over the last 3 months we've worked extensively with the IQA and are delighted to announce that European Games 2024 will be going ahead on the 27th-28th July in London.
This marks the first national team event to take place in the UK since the inaugural Summer Games in 2012, and will bring teams from all over Europe to the capital of the United Kingdom. We are so excited to have all the athletes and attendees come for a weekend of competition at the very highest level!
King's House Sports Ground
Located in Chiswick in West London, King's House Sports Ground is an excellent facility just by the iconic River Thames. With high quality fields and club house, King's House has previously played host to Quadball UK's Community Fixture in 2021. With easy links to the rest of London and all of London's airports, athletes and attendees will be spoilt for choice.
This announcement is just the first step as we prepare to host the European Games. For athletes and teams, details such as team and player registration, accommodation, and more will be posted shortly by the IQA.
To the UK Quadball community, we will need all the help we can get to make this the biggest and best event possible - this is an incredible opportunity to help build the sport and anyone interested in volunteering should get in touch with the IQA or QUK.
And finally if you are just excited to attend, as we get closer to the event we will share details about tickets, socials, and more. For now, update your calendars - it's going to be a great weekend.
