About Referee Development Workshop: Leeds
The QuadballUK gameplay department have arranged a series of in-person referee development workshops for members who wish to gain confidence and develop their skills as referees and match officials.
These events are ran in conjunction with hosting university teams, with an option for attendees to sign up as players and/or referees. Referees will have the chance to train their officiating in real-time drill scenarios and full scrimmages, whilst new players will have a chance to train together in fully officiated scrimmages.
Each day will begin at 11:00 at the respective venue and finish at 16:00, with a full schedule being released closer to the date.
EQUIPMENT - Please ensure to bring the following:
PLAYERS:
- A fitted mouthguard / gumshield (drills will be full-contact, with a comprehensive contact workshop being given to all players)
- Appropriate footwear (firm/soft ground studs)
- A red shirt and a blue shirt (for identifying teams during scrimmages)
- A positional headband (these may be provided on the day, but in limited numbers)
REFEREES:
- A whistle (if you wish to train as a Head Referee or Flag Referee)
- A black/white top (to distinguish referees from players during drills and scrimmages)
BOTH:
- Plenty of water, stay hydrated everyone
- Lunch (a break will occur at 13:00)
