Priority Events Volunteer Roles
With the season in swing and upcoming fixtures approaching, here are some priority volunteer roles we have vacancies for. We need Van drivers, Media officers, Operations Officers, and Volunteer Officers to help run QUK events and tournaments.

Events Media Officer
Junior Level Volunteer
The Events Media Officer is a permanent tournament volunteer responsible for the media aspects of QuadballUK events and tournaments. They are also responsible for preparing social media releases for specific tournament information.
While the role formally sits within Events, it reports to both the Events and Media Directors and will involve working with volunteers from both departments throughout the year.
This role requires good communications skills and ideally a background in writing media releases. Experience creating graphics for release on various social media platforms will be useful, as well as basic knowledge of photography and videography. In general, prior experience with tournament media is desirable but not essential.
Events Operations Officer
Junior Level Volunteer
The Events Operations Officer is a permanent tournament volunteer responsible for handling logistics at QuadballUK events and tournaments.
While the role formally sits within Events, it reports to both the Events and Gameplay Directors and will involve working with volunteers from both departments throughout the year.
This role requires good communication skills and experience with tournament organisation is highly desirable. Experience in finance or budgeting (e.g. as a treasurer) and versatile computer skills are all useful to the role, but not essential. Enthusiasm for gazebos is mandatory.
Events Volunteers Officer
Junior Level Volunteer
The Events Operations Officer is a permanent tournament volunteer responsible for handling the volunteer management aspects of QuadballUK aspects of events and tournaments. This includes helping with the recruitment of non-permanent tournament committees, assisting with the handling of complaints, and checking on the Welfare of other tournament volunteers.
While the role formally sits within Events, it reports to both the Events and Volunteers Directors and will involve working with volunteers from both departments throughout the year.
This role requires good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with interviewing and welfare management is desirable, but not essential.
Van Driver
Junior Level Volunteer
Main responsibilities include driving the van to pick up and transport equipment to from QUK's storage unit to QUK fixtures, and loading and unloading the contents of the van.
This role requires a clean, full license and requires the post holder to be 25 years or older. It is preferred if the post holder is based near the storage unit in Mansfield, though not essential. We are looking to appoint two Van Drivers so that the workload of driving and loading can be shared.
