We are the Glasgow Grim  Reapers, a small club with members from a wide range of backgrounds and  experience. Since our founding, our club has gone from strength to strength: Winning  the 2017 Development Cup in 2018, placing in the Top 4 at Northern Cup  2018, which followed by a strong top ten placing in the national British Quadball Cup in 2019.

 By far our biggest accolade was in qualifying for and competing at a  high level in the Division 1 competition of the European Quadball Cup  in 2019 in Belgium.

 We’re a welcoming club to members new and old, our focus is on improving  the skills of our members so that each person gets something out of  training, and building a strong club of friends.

After a successful first tournament in Oxford last year, the second iteration of Development Cup took place on the 14 and 15th of April in at 22  Acres  Playing Fields, York. 13 teams from across the UK competed and honed their skills with the Glasgow Grim Reapers who came out on top after a decisive victory over Bathilisks QC in the final. Throughout the tournament Glasgow performed exceptionally well, topping their Group in Day 1 and again winning all their games on Day 2 to become the first ever Scottish team to win a QuidditchUK tournament.

Glasgow Grim Reapers 100 – 30* Sheffield Sealions

Glasgow Grim Reapers 90* – 40 Oxford Quidlings

Glasgow Grim Reapers 100* – 30 Stirling Ridgebacks

Glasgow Grim Reapers 150* – 20 St Andrews Snidgets

Glasgow Grim Reapers 160* – 0 Bathilisks QC

In the third place playoff another Scottish team the St Andrews Snidgets defeated Oxford Quidlings to take the bronze medal with a 100* – 40 victory, whilst Northern Lights were the winners of the Consolation Bracket defeating Preston Poltergeists 110* – 20 in the final.

QuidditchUK would like to thank everyone who made the tournament happen, especially the tournament committee, the coaches, the referees and the volunteers both playing and non-playing. Without you the tournament wouldn’t have been such a huge success.
